The starter sand carving set is a bare-bones set for the beginning sand sculptor. The modified pastry knife is the best tool for smoothing and shaping; the brush and blow tube will help you give any sculpture - simple or complex - a smooth, debris-free finish. All you really need to add to this set is a shovel.
